BalaKrishna: Nandamuri BalaKrishna is a South Indian film on-screen character and government
official from Andhra Pradesh. He is the sixth child of Telugu on-screen
character and previous Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, late N.T. Rama Rao. BalaKrishna entered the film business as a child
artist at 14 years old with the movie Tatamma Kala. In a 40 years of his movie
profession, he acted in 99 movies in different parts. He has received two state Nandi Awards and the South Indian
International Movie Award for his best acting. He was the guest of honor at the 43rd International Film
Festival of India.
Balakrishna appeared in K Vishwanath’s directorial Janani Janmabhoomi which was a critical success, he then starred in a dual role in Apurva Sahodarulu (1987) directed by K Raghavendra Rao, was a hit at box-office. This year he had six successful films in a sequence. They were President Gari Abbai, Muvva Gopaludu, Bhargava Ramudu,Inspector Pratap, Bharatamlo Bala Chandrudu, Tiragabadda Telugubidda.
In 1989, he was starred alongside Vijaya Shanti in Muddula Mavayya that directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. In 1990, he acted in Nari Nari Naduma Murari, which directed by A Kodandarami Reddy and the film was a box-office hit.
Bala Krishna acted in Boyapati Srinu’s film Simha alongside Nayantara and Sneha Ullal. He played dual role in this film and it was the highest grossing film of the year. Bala Krishna acted in a mythological film Sri Rama Rajyam based on the epic Ramayana. Both the movies were sensational hits at the box office. Since the formation of Telugu Desam Party, Balayya always campaigned for it in every election but never entered the electoral battle. Nandamuri Balakrishna contested in the 2014 Assembly Elections from the Hindupur constituency in Anantapur district and got the highest majority, since Hindupur has been a TDP stronghold since 1983. Bala Krishna is the third from Nandamuri family, who represented Hindupur constituency. Before Balayya NT Rama Rao and Nandamuri Hari Krishna were represented the Hindupur constituency once.
